Colorado Irish Dance Entertainment (CIDE) was founded by performers who share the belief that Irish dance, when done right, is one of the most electrifying live experiences you can witness. We grew up in this art form — competing and performing — and we grew up in Colorado, immersed in the local Irish culture, dance, and music scene. Now, through CIDE, our mission is to bring together the most professional and talented performers, sharing our beloved art form with audiences across the Rocky Mountain West.

We aim to combine deep respect for the time-honored traditions of Irish dance with the power, precision, and energy of the modern form. And it doesn't have to be just dance! We also contract multiple acts for your needs, including some of the most talented DJs, pipers, drummers, violinists, vocalists, and aerialists in the state. Blaine Donovan,

Co-Founder, & Performer

Donovan earned local, regional, and international titles during his time on the competitive circuit and has toured internationally with the worldwide phenomenon, Riverdance, and other major Irish dance productions. In addition to his international professional touring background, Donovan has built a creative name for himself locally through his Denver production, Celtica, and crowd favorite performances at Denver institutions such as Charlie's. He currently runs an Irish dance school, Ré Nua, in the Denver area.

Claire McNellan,

Co-Founder & Performer

McNellan was raised by a Dublin native and is an accomplished dancer in her own right with multiple competitive achievements to her name, including two Regional Championship titles in solo dancing and a gold medal at the World Championships in the prestigious senior figure dancing category. She has danced alongside renowned musical acts such as The Chieftains, Téada, Doolin' (of France), O'Jizo (of Japan), and Celtica Pipes Rock.
